Leaving feedback
on an online dating profile.
The problem with the online dating profile
offered.
In the past there have been many people who
have suffered at the hands of
less than honest members of online dating
sites but there's hope for everyone who
tries to find love online. That help is in
the shape of the option of being able to
leave feedback on the online dating profile
of the person you met for a date. You've
probably all heard the horror stories; he
says he's tall, dark and handsome but it
turns out that he's lily white, barely 5 ft
and ugly as sin. They've quite blatantly
lied but there is very little you could have
done about it.
Online dating sites recognized this as being
a problem and listened to their customer's
comments creating the option to leave
feedback against someone's online dating
profile. If you're thinking of going to meet
someone from an online dating site then
there are obviously some safety factors you
need to take into account anyway, but now
you can add checking their online dating
profile to that list.
Meeting the face behind the online dating
profile.
If you meet someone on an Internet dating
site and there's that special connection
then you probably want to meet them and take
your relationship to that next step, or at
least just get a look at them. Previously
you've had to leave everything to chance
with no indication of whom you are going to
meet apart from what they've said.
When you do go and meet someone that you've
met on an Internet dating site, you should
post your personal experience on the
feedback section of the online dating
profile. By doing this you are helping
others avoid the disappointment you may have
faced. More and more sites are offering this
new feature and by taking advantage of it
you are helping the online dating community
improve as a whole.
Your responsibility.
If you're new to the Internet dating scene
then you may want to make sure that this is
a feature that the site offers because
without it there is no guarantee that you're
going to meet the person you expect. An
online dating profile offers you information
that the user wants you to see and if there
is no other information given, like feedback
from people who've met them, there's no
guarantee whatsoever that the online dating
profile is actually accurate. On the same
note, if you and others like you meet users
in person only to find that their profile is
wildly inaccurate it's your responsibility
to leave feedback accordingly. An online
dating profile is there to provide useful
information and if the option to leave
feedback is available this feedback is much
more useful than the profile itself. You no
longer have to take the word of whoever you
are talking to on the other end of your
email.
