Online
matchmaking services.
Using proper
full service online matchmaking services can
greatly improve your chances of finding the
right person online. With standard Internet
dating sites you find yourself trawling
through page after page after page of
profiles only to find that there are very
few that really interest you. You’ve tried
posting your own profile on several sites
but for one reason or another have had
limited success. Online matchmaking services
essentially do all the legwork for you. It’s
true that they involve a little more of your
time than other sites but it really is worth
the effort when you start to receive bag
loads of emails from interested and
interesting people.
Your profile.
Filling in your
profile on online matchmaking services is
the same
as filling in your profile on any
site. You need a catchy and entertaining
title, a good photograph, witty content and
a killer close. Use all of these factors in
your profile on a matchmaking site and be
extra careful not to embellish the truth.
You want to find people that share the same
genuine interests as you; if you have a love
for the finest Japanese Bonsai then own up
to it because there’s a good chance that
somebody out there is in to the same thing.

The questions.
Good
online matchmaking services have a
number of different categories with several
different questionnaires and forms for you
to complete under each one. The more
information you can complete the better
chance you have of meeting the perfect
partner. When you first join up there will
probably be one questionnaire that the site
wants you to fill in that asks about your
general interests. Fill this in but don’t
just stop there. Find other questionnaires
and fill in the ones that seem most
important to you; if you are a family
oriented person then find questions about
family relationships. Do this to give a good
all round picture of yourself.
The matchmaking.
Once you’ve
filled in a few of the questionnaires you
should be presented with a list of people
who match your criteria and share your
interests. Online dating services provide
you with this list in order of the most
relevant person. Once you have this list you
should start at the top and work down
picking the few that interest you the most.
I can’t tell you what to look for because
that’s a decision only you can make.
Give them a
nudge. Or a wink. Or an icebreaker.
Different sites
give it a different name but there is
usually an option that lets you send a
predefined flirty message to someone without
you having to compile a witty, intelligent
email. This basically sends them a link to
your profile. They will then click on your
profile and make a decision as to whether
you are the type of person they want to
contact. If you are they will either message
you or send you a wink back. Don’t spread
yourself to thin or set your heart on one
person. Too many responses will be difficult
to keep on top of and too few approaches may
lead to no results.
