Russian brides – the truth behind the myths.
Russian brides are hardly a new phenomenon
although meeting potential foreign partners
on the Internet is becoming more and more
popular with every passing day.
Unfortunately, however, the marrying of a
foreign woman from an Internet site is still
considered to be a pastime reserved for the
old, bald and rich men of the world who
marry young, blonde prostitutes who are only
after money and a passport. The first thing
to point out is that prostitution is no more
popular in Russia than it is in many
countries around the world and that while
there may be prostitutes on Russian singles
sites it is just as likely that you would
meet one on an American dating site.
Any age.
Browsing a Russian dating website will
usually result in a list of good-looking
women who are under the age of 40. Obviously
not all Russian women look like this but the
agencies you are looking at are in the
market to make money. It’s a fact that 25
year old attractive women are much more
likely to find a potential partner and
subsequently make the agency money.
The
men that browse these sites are not all old
and bald. In fact, the spread of the users
is a good representation of ages in general.
Most men that find love on Russian dating
sites are actually aged between 30 and 40
years old; hardly over the hill just yet.
For life.
Another common myth associated with the use
of
Russian dating sites is that the women
are only looking for a passport into the
country and once over here they will divorce
you and carry on their own lives. Again,
this isn’t true. Most of the women on these
sites are looking for men from foreign
countries to spend the rest of their lives
with. It is true that they are often looking
for financially secure and good looking
husbands but this should compound the fact
that they are looking for life partners not
just a ticket out of Russia. If you are 70
years old with a lot of money but little in
the way of looks or charm you are more
likely to meet Russian women who are looking
for meal tickets and possibly a passport but
for the vast majority this really is
unlikely to be the case.
Not just a housewife.
The
Russian education system is one of the most
effective in the world and it is women who
have been through this education system and
gained their education that know there is a
better life waiting for them in other
countries. There is nothing to say that your
new wife won’t go out and get a job, she
will certainly be qualified to get some sort
of job once here. You should never treat her
like the paid servant. You are entering into
a marriage not an employer/employee
relationship and you should treat her
exactly the same as you would a woman from
your own country.
